Charlotte Bland

CEO, CharMel

Char Bland has focused her career on developing, maintaining and maximizing sales in the technology field. She now serves in the position of Vertical Market Manager, Office Depot Business Services Division. Prior to joining Office Depot, Ms. Bland was associated with Microsoft Corporation, Visio and TRO Learning, in positions of increasing responsibility. She added value to each organization through her strong business development/strategic account management and problem-solving skills.

In her role at Office Depot Business Services Division, Ms. Bland is a leader in community outreach, undertaking numerous Taking Care of Kids initiatives. In addition, Ms. Bland serves on the boards of two community organizations, Haven House and LA CARES Mentoring Movement, and active as Silent Auction Committee Chair with GAP (Grandparents as Parents), the YWCA of Greater Los Angeles, the FAME Renaissance Center Back-to-School Community Day, and the Center for Community and Family Services (CCFS) Family Day. Her involvement extends to her community, where she has served as an Ambassador for the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce.

Not content with a busy career and volunteer assignments, Ms. Bland combined her flair for fashion with her entrepreneurial skills to create a business, CharMel, with her daughter. CharMel is an exclusive accessory boutique that offers customers the opportunity to purchase and wear red carpet-worthy accessories that are distinctive and memorable.

Ms. Bland received her education at Pasadena City College. A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she is married and has two adult children. She loves being with her grandchildren, golfing, and traveling with her family in her spare time.
