We are excited to invite our LACC family to join us for an informative and riveting evening with decorated author and journalist, Joel Simon! Joel is the founding director of the Journalism Protection Initiative at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism in New York. He’s an author and a contributor to The New Yorker. From 2006 until 2021, Simon served as executive director of the Committee to Protect Journalists.
His work defending press freedom was featured in the HBO documentary Endangered, which was nominated for an Emmy. Spend an evening with us as we dive deep into the world of journalism.
