The turkey giveaway was a great success! Students from Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS)/Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education (CARE)/NextUp greatly appreciated this opportunity to share a special meal together during the holiday. The following are some photos and statements of gratitude that were shared with us:
“This is definitely going to impact my family because it will help me put food on the table and have a very special Thanksgiving for my family like we all deserve to have. I’ve always loved the holidays because that’s a memory my family and I will never forget. I want to say Thank You for giving me this opportunity and also, I want to thank the LACC Foundation for giving us this opportunity to be able to give families the chance to have a loving holiday season.“
– Melanie, EOPS/NextUp student
“I would like to express my appreciation for the LACC Foundation for the assistance in gifting me a free turkey for this year’s holiday. I am honored to be one of the winners out of many applicants because I could enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving with my family thanks to this moment in time LACC Foundation had to offer.”
– Destiny, EOPS/CARE student
“Thank you so much for this special gift. I will celebrate with my Mom at home, and this is the first time I got the Thanksgiving gift. I hope I can donate gifts for people in need in the future. I will do my hard work. Thank you LACC.”
- Luke, EOPS student
